West Poulsbo Regional Stormwater Treatment Facility and Shoreline Restoration
Near Term Action Overview
1) Construct a regional stormwater treatment facility on upland portions of the property outside of the buffer zone to treat runoff from a 50-acre urban basin that currently discharges untreated stormwater to Liberty Bay. The new stormwater treatment system will be integrated into the landscape to provide a natural appearance appropriate for the setting and site.
2) Preserve intact estuarine shoreline habitat by permanently protecting the functional nearshore area.
3) Restore degraded upland buffer.
4) Restore 1/4 acre of fresh wetland, previously cleared & filled.
